The Advantage Spine And Disc Approach To Chiropractic Care In Boise

An East Boise Practice Built Around Advanced, Personalized Care Since 2003

Advantage Spine and Disc was established in 2003 to help people stay active and keep pain or discomfort from controlling work, exercise, and daily life. The clinic provides chiropractic care alongside spinal decompression, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, massage, corrective traction, and rehabilitation. Rather than relying on one technique for every patient, the care team evaluates the underlying factors and builds a plan around the person’s condition, goals, and response. The sections below introduce the philosophy and people behind that work.

High-Quality Care And Current Technology For Clear Healthcare Goals

The clinic’s mission is to provide patients with high-quality care and current technology that can help them reach meaningful healthcare goals. That mission starts with listening, because a plan cannot be personal if the patient’s frustrations, history, and priorities are treated as background information.

Advantage Spine and Disc aims to give patients a clear explanation of what the evaluation shows, why a service is being considered, and how progress will be assessed. The goal is informed care, not hype.

Meet Dr. Jamie Ricks: Boise Chiropractor And Clinic Lead

Dr. Jamie Ricks began his education at Ricks College, completed a Bachelor of Science through Excelsior College, and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, in 2001.

He has practiced as a licensed chiropractor since 2001 and opened the East Boise clinic in 2003. His additional training includes certification as a strength and conditioning specialist, certification as a decompression therapy practitioner, and advanced laser therapy certification.

Dr. Ricks focuses on identifying the factors that may be driving a patient’s symptoms, then selecting care that fits the examination findings. His clinical interests include chiropractic care, spinal decompression, rehabilitation, and technology-supported conservative care for spine, disc, joint, and nerve-related problems.

Patients can expect direct explanations, a structured plan, and room to ask questions before treatment begins. That no-nonsense approach is designed to help people understand both the problem and the next step.

Dr. Van Landghen earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and Master of Positive Psychology from Life University. Her training includes advanced Chiropractic BioPhysics credentials and a focus on structural correction, posture restoration, and rehabilitation.

She also holds advanced certifications in Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP)-the most researched, results-oriented chiropractic technique for structural spinal correction.

Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Jill has also lived in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Orlando while completing her education and building her career. In practice for over six years, she specializes in spinal correction, posture restoration, and long-term structural rehabilitation. Dr. Jill’s approach combines evidence-based chiropractic care with principles of positive psychology, empowering patients to not only improve their physical alignment but also their mindset and well-being.

Her path to chiropractic care is deeply personal. After struggling with debilitating migraines and undergoing an unsuccessful scoliosis surgery as a child, Dr. Jill turned to chiropractic as a way to restore her health and quality of life. This experience fueled her passion for helping others find lasting relief and regain hope when conventional treatments fall short.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Jill enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, camping and traveling, and finds joy exploring the outdoors with her family. Recently married, she enjoys life with her family- including her kids, dogs, and cats, who all keep her busy and fulfilled outside of the practice.
